Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using DailyStandup ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

Description of Service

DailyStandup is an async standup tool for distributed teams. The Service allows team members to submit daily check-in updates, link work items from integrated tools, and receive AI-generated team summaries powered by Claude (by Anthropic).

The Service is available at app.dailystandup.io, with marketing and account pages at dailystandup.io.

Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years of age to use the Service. By creating an account, you represent that you meet this requirement and that the information you provide is accurate.

Account Responsibilities

  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
  • You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
  • You must notify us promptly at hello@dailystandup.io if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.
  • We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose.
  • Submit content that is defamatory, obscene, or harassing.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service or its systems.
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure.
  • Use the Service to send spam or unsolicited communications.
  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service.
  • Use automated tools to scrape or extract data from the Service beyond what is provided through our official APIs and export features.

Your Content

  • You retain ownership of the content you submit to the Service, including check-in text, linked work items, and team configurations.
  • By submitting content, you grant us a limited licence to store, process, and display your content as necessary to provide the Service — including sending it to Anthropic's API for AI summary generation.
  • We do not claim ownership of your content and will not use it for purposes unrelated to providing the Service.

Free and Paid Plans

  • The Service offers a free plan with limited features and usage caps.
  • Paid plans (Pro and Enterprise) offer additional features and higher limits.
  • Pricing is displayed on our pricing page and may change with reasonable notice.
  • Paid subscriptions are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis.
  • You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
  • Refunds are not provided for partial billing periods, except where required by law.
  • Billing is not yet active during our soft launch period. When billing is enabled, existing users will be notified before any charges apply.

Termination

  • You may delete your account at any time from your account settings.
  • We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or if required by law.
  • Upon termination, your data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

Intellectual Property

  • The Service, including its design, code, branding, and documentation, is owned by DailyStandup and protected by intellectual property laws.
  • These Terms do not grant you any rights to our trademarks, logos, or brand assets.
  • Feedback or suggestions you provide about the Service may be used by us without obligation to you.

Third-Party Services

The Service integrates with third-party tools including GitHub, Linear, Jira, Figma, and Slack. Your use of these integrations is subject to those services' own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the availability or practices of third-party services.

AI-Generated Content

  • Team summaries and insights are generated by Claude (by Anthropic) based on your team's check-in data.
  • AI-generated content is provided for informational purposes and may not always be perfectly accurate.
  • You are responsible for reviewing AI-generated summaries before acting on them.
  • Your check-in data is not used to train AI models.

Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, DailyStandup and its officers, employees, and contractors shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of data, revenue, or profits, arising from your use of the Service.

Our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms or the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or £100, whichever is greater.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless DailyStandup from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.

Modifications

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting a notice on the Service or sending you an email. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
